Minimig v1.98 — S6 FPGA / MM2609S5 ARM
Release: setup-s6-20260919 (September 19, 2026)
Target: XC3S400-4-PQ208, six-SRAM Minimig, AT91SAM7S256 controller.

This is the released, hardware-tested pair, copied byte for byte. It includes
the redesigned setup OSD, Normal 7 MHz and Turbo 20/30/40/50/60 MHz choices,
native Amiga quadrature mouse support, and the S6 timing/reliability changes.
The saved default is approximately 50 MHz. Clock choices take effect through
Settings > Chipset > Apply clock & reset; Save Settings retains the choice.

INSTALL
Back up the current SD-card MINIMIG1.BIN and settings first.
Copy MINIMIG1.BIN from this package to the SD-card root and restart.
If ARM MM2609S5 is already installed, no ARM update is required. Otherwise,
copy FIRMWARE.UPG to the SD-card root and use the existing ARM upgrade menu.
ARM_MM2609S5.bin is the raw SAM-BA flash image, not the menu-updater file.
MINIMIG1.bit is the matching Xilinx bitstream; SD-card boot uses MINIMIG1.BIN.
Confirm ARM MM2609S5 and FPGA PI FMG260917S650Mhz in the OSD. The FPGA version
suffix is the build default; the CPU clock footer shows the applied speed.

MOUSE
Use an Amiga quadrature mouse on DB9 port 1. Motion or its left button selects
it automatically; a PS/2 left click switches back to the PS/2 mouse. A passive
USB adapter is insufficient unless the mouse/adapter emits Amiga quadrature.
The native six-signal interface supports left/right buttons, not middle.

VERIFICATION
The release record reports 48 hours at 60.2972184 MHz with Armour-Geddon and
no glitches on the owner's board. This is a recorded test of this exact pair,
not a guarantee for every processor or workload. Routed timing has zero
errors; the detailed report includes improvements and remaining margins.
S6 retains 61 synthesis warnings (none suppressed); the ARM build is warning
free. See RELEASE-NOTES.txt for exact timing, tests and installation details.

SOURCE AND DOCUMENTATION
The accompanying software-source ZIP contains the frozen FPGA/ARM code,
build scripts, tests and timing evidence. All executable source is unchanged.
Documentation is supplied as .txt; editable KiCad artwork is kept internal.
Pre-generated logo headers are included, so firmware builds do not need the
internal artwork. Historical receipts describe the original upstream files;
PUBLIC-SHA256SUMS.txt verifies the repackaged source archive contents.
Licenses and authorship remain with their respective source components.
